Fort Worth, Texas – Spotty showers and thunderstorms could drift through parts of North and Central Texas tonight and again Wednesday, with the greatest chance for brief downpours and gusty winds. While no severe weather is expected, the National Weather Service warns that some of the stronger cells may bring heavy rain in localized areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, isolated storms tonight will be most likely near the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and into East Texas, with temperatures staying in the low to mid-70s overnight. On Wednesday, storm chances shift toward Central and Eastern Texas, with highs ranging from the low 90s in Sherman and Paris to the mid-90s in Waco, Killeen, and DFW.

Travelers should watch for sudden ponding on roads during heavy bursts of rain, especially in low-lying areas. Outdoor plans could be briefly disrupted by lightning and wind gusts.

The unsettled pattern is expected to fade by Thursday, leaving drier and warmer days to close out the workweek.
