Fort Worth, TX – October brought warmer-than-usual weather and a burst of late-month rainfall across North Texas, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.
Meteorologists reported that both Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) and Waco experienced above-normal temperatures throughout most of October 2025. Waco logged 18 days with highs at or above 90°F, while DFW saw 8 such days.
According to the climate summary issued November 2, DFW finished the month 25 days above normal, while Waco marked 28 days above normal. Cooler-than-average days were limited to just a few early in the month.
Rainfall totals showed a similar contrast. DFW picked up 4.75 inches of rain, most of it during a two-day stretch on October 24–25. Waco reported 2.31 inches for the month, roughly two inches above normal.
Forecasters noted that both regions saw near-record warmth during what is typically the start of North Texas’ cooling trend. Normal October high temperatures for the area range from 72°F to 85°F, but this year’s readings frequently topped that range.
Residents are encouraged to monitor upcoming forecasts as November could bring cooler air and potential storm systems across the region.
