Fort Worth, Texas – Another round of hot, humid weather is taking hold across North and Central Texas, with only low-end rain chances each day and heat index values again rising above 100°F through Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, isolated thunderstorms may pop up near Palestine, Waco, and Canton Thursday and Friday, with more scattered activity possible by Sunday. These storms aren’t expected to be severe, but localized gusty winds and brief heavy downpours are possible.

Highs will remain in the 90s, but humidity will make it feel significantly hotter. Areas like Killeen, Sherman, and DFW will see little relief from heat stress, and residents are advised to limit outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours.

The storm pattern looks sparse, with no major rainfall expected to interrupt the broader heat trend.
