Fort Worth, TX – A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is sweeping across North Texas today, bringing threats of hail and damaging wind gusts to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and surrounding areas.

According to the National Weather Service Fort Worth, storms began impacting the region around 6 a.m. and are expected to continue moving eastward through at least 3 p.m. Tuesday. Areas most at risk include Paris, Gainesville, and the broader DFW metro, where conditions may support hail and wind gusts exceeding 40 mph.

Isolated storm cells are forecast to impact cities like Palestine and Waco into the early afternoon, though these are expected to be less intense. The highest threat levels are currently focused north of the I-20 corridor, particularly in areas shaded for strong to severe activity on NWS radar imagery.

Residents are urged to monitor weather updates and have multiple alert systems active. Hail damage to vehicles and localized power outages from downed lines are possible. While tornado potential remains low, gusty winds and hail can still pose serious hazards to travel and outdoor plans.

Stay weather-aware and seek shelter indoors if warnings are issued in your area.
