Fort Worth, Texas – Texans across North and Central Texas face a hot and humid Saturday, with heat index values soaring up to 107° and pockets of heavy rain on the way. A Heat Advisory now covers much of the region, lasting from 9 p.m. Friday through 9 p.m. Saturday, just as scattered thunderstorms are set to roll in.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the highest rain chances will focus on East and Central Texas, including DFW, Waco, and Killeen, where rain coverage could reach 60%. Storms may bring heavy downpours and gusty winds, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours, while cities like Graham, Cisco, and Canton could still see dangerous heat.

Local impacts will be significant. DFW is set for 95°, Graham could hit 100°, and Waco, Sherman, and Killeen will all hover in the low 90s, but humidity will make it feel much hotter. Those venturing out should limit outdoor activities, stay hydrated, and take breaks in the shade. Light-colored, breathable clothing is highly recommended.

With storms possible and a dangerous heat index in effect, North Texans should prepare for changing conditions through Saturday. Additional weather alerts could be issued if storms intensify or heat risk rises further.
