Detroit, MI – Residents across Southeast Michigan can expect a warm and dry start to the week, with sunshine dominating the forecast through Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service office in Pontiac, areas of fog may develop early Sunday and Monday mornings, but skies will clear by midmorning, giving way to sunny afternoons. High temperatures are projected to range from the upper 70s to mid-80s. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-50s.

On Tuesday, conditions remain mostly sunny with highs reaching near 85 degrees. By Wednesday, temperatures could climb as high as 86 degrees, continuing the region’s stretch of above-average warmth for mid-September.

Meteorologists note that the extended dry period may add stress to lawns and gardens. Residents are advised to water vegetation where needed, as rain chances are expected to stay minimal at least through midweek.

Drivers should also use caution during the early morning hours when fog is present, especially along rural highways and low-lying areas.

The National Weather Service will provide updated forecasts as the week continues.
