Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan residents can expect another cool and damp day Thursday as scattered to numerous showers move through the region, according to the National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac. Temperatures will hover in the upper 40s to low 50s with overnight lows dipping into the mid-30s.

According to the latest forecast outlook, the area will gradually dry out Friday with partly sunny skies and highs around 50 to 54 degrees. Cooler nighttime lows near the freezing mark are expected through Saturday morning, signaling a distinctly fall-like pattern.

Saturday may bring another brief round of showers before conditions improve. By Sunday and Monday, forecasters expect milder temperatures with highs reaching the mid- to upper 50s and drier air settling in across the region.

The National Weather Service notes that while this week’s chill will persist a bit longer, a gradual warming trend is anticipated heading into next week, offering a more comfortable finish to October.

Residents are advised to plan for slick roads and light rain today, particularly during morning and evening commutes.
