DETROIT, Mich. – Southeast Michigan will stay on the cooler side this week, with daytime highs holding in the upper 60s to low 70s and overnight lows dipping into the 40s and 50s. Light showers are expected to linger today and Tuesday, keeping conditions damp for commuters and outdoor plans.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, isolated showers may pop up this evening before skies begin to clear midweek. Wednesday brings partly cloudy skies and slightly warmer temperatures, with highs climbing into the mid-70s.
Cities across metro Detroit, including Ann Arbor, Pontiac, and Dearborn, can expect chilly mornings in the low 40s through Wednesday, while those along Lake St. Clair and into Port Huron will stay a few degrees milder. Drivers may need to watch for wet pavement during the morning rush on both Tuesday and Thursday.
By Thursday, a stronger system is expected to move in, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms across the region. Residents are advised to keep umbrellas and light jackets handy as the cool trend continues.
Cooler-than-average conditions are likely to persist into the weekend, with the next round of updates expected midweek.
