Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan will enjoy a mainly dry stretch today and Friday before a warming trend peaks on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Detroit/Pontiac. Rain chances return late Saturday and Saturday night as a new system moves in.
According to NWS forecasters, highs today will reach the upper 40s to low 50s, with overnight lows falling into the upper 20s and low 30s across the region. Skies will remain mostly sunny with calm conditions, making for a pleasant late-fall day.
Friday will continue the mild pattern, with highs warming into the low to mid-50s and lows again in the low 30s. Dry weather is expected to hold through the entire day as the warming trend strengthens ahead of the weekend.
Saturday is set to be the warmest day of the stretch. Highs are forecast to reach the upper 50s to mid-60s, a solid 10 to 15 degrees above seasonal averages. Clouds will gradually increase throughout the day, and precipitation chances rise Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, bringing the potential for scattered rain showers.
A shift toward cooler conditions arrives Sunday, with highs falling back into the low to mid-40s and lows dipping into the upper 20s. Monday continues the cooler trend, with highs in the low to mid-40s and overnight temperatures hovering near the freezing mark.
Forecasters say early next week will bring more typical November conditions after the brief weekend warm-up.
Residents in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint, and surrounding communities should prepare for a mild end to the workweek before showers and cooler air arrive for the second half of the weekend.
