DETROIT, Mich. – Scattered showers and breezy conditions will move through Southeast Michigan Sunday, marking the start of a cool stretch of weather with fall-like temperatures expected through the end of the week. Highs will stay in the upper 60s to mid-70s, while overnight lows dip into the 40s and low 50s.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, Sunday afternoon could see brief spotty rain, but most of the week will trend drier with partly sunny skies. Monday and Tuesday will feature cooler mornings, with some inland areas falling to the low 40s before warming into the upper 60s and low 70s.
Residents in Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Flint should expect brisk mornings, especially midweek when lows could dip into the mid-40s. The cooler pattern will also keep humidity levels low, making conditions comfortable for outdoor activities.
Drivers should be mindful of patchy fog during early morning hours in low-lying areas, particularly on rural roads west of Detroit.
The stretch of cooler weather will continue through Friday, with only limited chances for showers. Forecasters say a gradual warm-up may develop by the weekend.
