Detroit, Michigan – Rain will continue to dampen southeast Michigan through Friday, with daytime highs hovering in the 50s and scattered showers expected each day.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit, a persistent pattern of cool, wet weather will grip the region through at least Friday evening. Tuesday’s rain is expected to begin this afternoon, with high temperatures ranging from 55°F to 61°F and overnight lows dipping into the upper 40s.
Metro areas including Ann Arbor, Pontiac, and Monroe should prepare for daily rainfall, cloudy skies, and cooler-than-average May conditions. Wednesday and Thursday bring more of the same, with highs in the low to mid-50s and lows dropping as far as 39°F overnight. Friday remains damp and chilly, with lingering showers and lows near 40°F.
Drivers should expect slick roads during morning and evening commutes, especially on I-94 and US-23. Residents are advised to wear layers, use headlights during low-visibility periods, and limit outdoor activity when possible.
Though severe weather isn’t expected, the ongoing rain may contribute to minor ponding on roads and reduced visibility.
This unsettled pattern could shift by the weekend, but additional advisories may be issued if rain persists or intensifies.
