Detroit, MI – After another dry and mild day across Southeast Michigan, rain chances will increase tonight and continue into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac.
Wednesday will remain mostly dry and breezy, with highs in the mid-50s before showers begin to move in from the west late this evening. The heaviest rainfall is expected on Thursday, especially in Metro Detroit and other eastern areas, with temperatures dipping into the 40s overnight.
By Friday, skies will begin to clear as cooler, below-normal air settles into the region. Highs will hold in the low 50s, and lake-effect rain showers may develop near the Great Lakes.
Forecasters expect the cool pattern to persist through the weekend, with daytime highs in the 40s and overnight lows dropping near freezing in some inland areas.
Residents should prepare for a chilly Halloween weekend and keep umbrellas handy for Thursday’s rain.
