Detroit Teen Charged in Non-Fatal Shootings of Two Other Teens

Detroit, MI – A 15-year-old male has been charged in connection with the non-fatal shootings of two other teenagers in Detroit.

According to the Detroit Police Department, the incident occurred on March 31 at approximately 9:16 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 13300 block of Lauder Street, where they found two teenage victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office alleges that the suspect fired a handgun into a crowd, wounding the victims while they were walking near Robson and Lyndon Streets. The juvenile faces five counts of Assault with Intent to Murder and five counts of Felony Firearm. The suspect is adult designated, allowing the judge options for sentencing.

DPD investigators will continue to assist in the prosecution of this case. All suspects are presumed innocent pending further proceedings.
