DETROIT, Mich. – Southeast Michigan heads into the weekend with cooler-than-normal temperatures and the chance for a few light sprinkles Saturday afternoon and evening. Highs will only reach the mid to upper 60s, running 10 to 12 degrees below seasonal averages.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, skies turn partly sunny Sunday with highs again in the upper 60s. Overnight lows will dip into the low 40s, with some rural areas across Livingston and Washtenaw counties likely seeing upper 30s by early Monday.
The cool air will make for brisk mornings across metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Flint, but conditions will remain dry and calm for travelers and outdoor events. Winds stay light, reducing any travel concerns on I-75, I-94, and I-96.
Residents are urged to dress in layers for early morning commutes and prepare for chilly evenings if heading to outdoor gatherings or high school football games.
Pleasant weather takes hold Monday with partly sunny skies and highs near 70, marking the start of a warmer, more comfortable stretch. More stable conditions are expected to hold into midweek.
