Detroit, MI – A pair of snow systems will bring multiple rounds of wintry precipitation to southeast Michigan through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac.

Light snow early Tuesday will taper off around noon, leaving behind 1–2 inches across much of the area, with a coating near Detroit and up to 2 inches north toward Saginaw and the Thumb. Patchy freezing drizzle may follow in some areas.

A second system redevelops late Tuesday night, bringing additional 2–4 inches of snow north of I-69, while a rain/snow mix or all rain is possible farther south, including Ann Arbor and Monroe. The heaviest totals (4–6 inches) are expected near Sanford and Bad Axe.

Temperatures will stay in the mid-30s, with gusty southwest winds up to 30 mph possibly reducing visibility.

Drivers should plan for slippery roads and limited visibility, especially during the Wednesday morning commute.
