Detroit, MI – A Detroit man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman and the non-fatal shooting of their three-year-old son.
According to the Detroit Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting at Whitcomb and Tireman at approximately 6:44 a.m. on Thursday. Officers found the woman with a gunshot wound to the neck, and the child was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities allege that a verbal altercation between the suspect, Virgil Brown, 22, and the victim led to the shooting. Brown faces multiple charges, including First-Degree Murder and Assault with Intent to Murder.
