Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan will enjoy a few more days of pleasant fall warmth before a sharp midweek cooldown, according to the US National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac.

Forecasters say Monday and Tuesday will feature highs in the low to mid-70s with partly sunny skies. A few late-day showers are possible Tuesday evening as a cold front approaches.

By Wednesday, clouds will decrease and temperatures will begin to fall, with highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s. The real chill arrives Thursday morning, when lows dip into the mid-30s to low 40s—potentially bringing the first frost of the season for some inland areas.

Cool, sunny weather continues Thursday before temperatures rebound slightly into the upper 60s by Friday, closing out the week on a mild note.

Motorists and early risers should prepare for cooler mornings later in the week, especially in rural and northern counties.
