Detroit-Area Forecast: Warm Weekend, Rain Showers to Start Sunday

Detroit, MI – Southeast Michigan residents can expect a pleasant Saturday before rain showers move into the region by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Detroit/Pontiac.

According to NWS forecasters, today’s weather will be partly cloudy with highs reaching 84 degrees and lows around 73. Conditions will stay warm, continuing a trend of above-normal temperatures across the weekend.

Rain chances increase Sunday, with showers likely through much of the day. Forecasters predict a 60 to 85 percent chance of rain across Southeast Michigan, with highs around 82 degrees and lows near 75.

The wet weather will continue into Monday, with rain showers expected at a 60 percent chance. Temperatures will remain mild, ranging from the upper 70s to mid-70s overnight.

Travelers and weekend eventgoers are advised to take advantage of Saturday’s pleasant conditions, as rain may affect outdoor activities Sunday and into the new workweek.

This forecast covers metro Detroit and surrounding counties, including Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Washtenaw, and Livingston.
