Des Moines, Iowa – The National Weather Service in Des Moines reports that a quick-moving system will bring a round of light, fluffy snow across Iowa today, especially impacting the southern and southeastern portions of the state.
Most areas can expect 1–3 inches of accumulation, with slightly higher amounts possible near the Missouri and Illinois borders. Though winds will remain light, slick roads and reduced visibility may occur at times due to snow lofted by vehicle traffic.
