Williamson County, IL – Deputies responded to multiple calls about a large underage drinking party early Sunday in rural Williamson County. Authorities arrived at a home in the 5300 block of Wards Mill Road and found nearly 40 vehicles, some stuck in the grass.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies contacted the homeowner, who was out of state. He claimed he was unaware of the gathering and requested that everyone leave. Deputies entered the residence and discovered about 100 teenagers inside.

Parents of minors under 18 were contacted, and transportation home was arranged. Teens allowed to drive submitted to breath tests before leaving. A 15-year-old girl suffering from excessive alcohol consumption was taken to a local hospital.

Deputies remained on-site for four hours to ensure safe departures. Multiple vehicles were removed by tow truck.

The investigation remains ongoing and has been referred to the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
