Denver, CO – Hot temperatures will continue today, with isolated to scattered thunderstorms expected this afternoon. These storms will produce little rainfall but bring gusty outflow winds up to 50 mph. The National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder issued the forecast early this morning, highlighting the significant weather changes.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to soar between 95 and 100 degrees across the plains. Residents in Denver and surrounding areas such as Greeley, Fort Morgan, and Sterling will experience some of the highest temperatures, reaching up to 102 degrees in some places.

The storms predicted this afternoon will be isolated to scattered, providing little relief from the intense heat. However, the gusty outflow winds associated with these storms could pose challenges. These winds, reaching speeds of up to 50 mph, could lead to hazardous conditions, especially for outdoor activities and travel.

Looking ahead, the weather forecast for the rest of the week remains hot with some variations. Tuesday will see temperatures reaching a high of 96 degrees, while Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy with a high of 95 degrees. Thursday and Friday will also be warm, with highs around 91 degrees, and partly to mostly cloudy skies.

A slight relief from the heat is expected on Saturday, with temperatures dropping to a high of 83 degrees. However, the respite will be short-lived as temperatures climb back up to 90 degrees on Sunday.
