Denver, CO – A winter storm is set to bring significant snowfall and hazardous road conditions across Colorado beginning Tuesday afternoon and lasting through Wednesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, snow will develop late Tuesday afternoon, with accumulations ranging from 2 to 6 inches across northeast and east-central Colorado, including the I-25 corridor. Higher elevations, such as Rocky Mountain National Park and the Indian Peaks, could see up to 10 inches of snow. Wind gusts may reach 35 mph, creating areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility.
The storm is expected to impact travel conditions, particularly during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Motorists should prepare for slippery roads, especially in mountain passes and along the I-25 corridor.
