Denver, CO – A Freeze Warning has been issued for much of the Denver metro and Front Range region as temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 20s to low 30s early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Denver.

The warning is in effect from midnight through 8 a.m. MDT Tuesday, covering Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson, Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, and Broomfield counties—including Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, Aurora, and Castle Rock.

Forecasters expect overnight lows as cold as 26°F in some areas, marking one of the coldest mornings of the season so far. The NWS warns that frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, harm sensitive vegetation, and damage exposed plumbing.

Residents are urged to move plants indoors, cover garden beds, and wrap outdoor pipes or sprinkler systems before temperatures fall. Pet owners should ensure animals have warm shelter overnight.

While winds that affected the area earlier Monday are expected to ease, clear skies will allow temperatures to drop rapidly after sunset. Warmer weather is forecast to return by midweek, with highs back into the 60s by Wednesday.
