Denver Forecast: Temperature Drop and Thunderstorm Chances Increase

Denver, CO – Temperatures across Colorado are expected to be a few degrees cooler than Friday, with rain and thunderstorms forecasted for much of the region. According to the US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, the state will experience scattered PM storms with a 50-70% chance, particularly outside the eastern plains.

Mountain and valley areas can anticipate temperatures ranging from 55 to 65 degrees, with scattered afternoon and evening storms. Urban corridors and plains will see highs of 80 to 90 degrees, also with a likelihood of scattered storms later in the day. Foothills and the Palmer Divide should prepare for temperatures between 65 and 75 degrees, with similar storm patterns.

The main impacts today will be brief, heavy downpours and gusty winds. The National Weather Service has also issued a severe weather alert for air quality, expected to last until 4:00 PM MDT on Saturday. Denver’s forecast includes partly cloudy conditions from 2 PM to 5 PM, with drizzle expected later. Temperatures will peak at 86 degrees with a 35% chance of rain.

Sunday’s forecast predicts cooler temperatures, with a high of 76 degrees and a 40% chance of rain. The weather will gradually warm up throughout the week, with Monday expected to be sunny and reach 83 degrees, Tuesday hitting 87 degrees, and Wednesday reaching a high of 92 degrees. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions.
