Denver, Colorado – Scattered thunderstorms will linger across much of Colorado through the weekend, but conditions are expected to turn warmer and drier starting Sunday. Temperatures across the Front Range and northern counties will climb into the low to mid-80s early next week, edging slightly above seasonal averages.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, storm chances remain elevated through Saturday with Denver carrying a 50 percent risk of showers each day. Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley may see similar totals before rain chances drop to less than 15 percent beginning Sunday afternoon. By Monday and Tuesday, most of the region will be dry with only isolated mountain showers.

Travelers on I-25 and I-70 should stay alert through Saturday evening, as brief heavy rain could reduce visibility and trigger ponding on roadways. Mountain areas, including Estes Park and Breckenridge, will also see storms tapering off by late Saturday, giving way to clearer skies.

Officials recommend avoiding outdoor activities during peak afternoon storms until the drier pattern settles in. Warm, sunny days will dominate much of next week, but occasional evening storms remain possible along the foothills.

Warnings are not in effect, but updates from the National Weather Service will continue as the pattern shifts.
