Denver, Colo. – Sunshine will dominate most of Colorado on Sunday, with only a few clouds expected to develop over the central mountains later in the day. Conditions remain dry, making for an ideal late-summer day across the Front Range and Eastern Plains.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, highs will range from the mid-70s in mountain valleys to the low 80s across the Denver metro and northeastern plains. Afternoon clouds will build near Breckenridge, Aspen, and along the I-70 corridor, but widespread showers are not expected.
Travelers headed into higher elevations may notice brief periods of shade and cooler temperatures under those clouds, while lower elevations such as Greeley, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs will stay mostly clear. Roads and visibility should remain good across the state, reducing travel hazards often seen during summer storms.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated under warm, sunny skies and use extra sun protection if spending extended time outdoors.
Sunny and dry weather will hold through early this week, with only minor changes expected until midweek.
