Colorado’s Front Range is locked in a deep freeze this morning, with Denver waking up to just 14 degrees under clear skies. The wind chill has dipped near zero at times, biting exposed skin within minutes. Frost coats parked cars from Lakewood to Aurora, and slick patches linger on bridges along I-25 and I-70.

Sunshine dominates today, but the cold start matters. Highs rebound to near 51 degrees this afternoon with light northeast winds. Snowmelt begins on treated roads, yet shaded side streets may stay icy. Flash freezing becomes a concern again tonight as temperatures fall back to 26 degrees under mostly clear skies.

Monday turns sharply milder. Highs jump to 66 degrees with mostly sunny skies and light southwest wind. By Tuesday, February 24th, Denver flirts with 70 degrees under partly sunny skies. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph in the afternoon, especially west of downtown.

Midweek brings a subtle shift. Wednesday stays breezy with a high near 69. By Wednesday night, colder air edges in with a chance of rain changing to snow before 11 p.m. Lows dip to around 36 degrees. While no accumulation is certain, even light snow in late February can create slushy spots for the Thursday commute.

The broader 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures returning late week into next weekend. Spring Warmth signals are growing stronger across eastern Colorado.
