Denver, CO – Colorado residents can expect a stretch of mild weather before snow and colder conditions arrive early next week. Forecasters predict sunny skies and light winds will dominate through the weekend, offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach 56°F, with calm winds shifting north by evening. Overnight lows will dip to 29°F under mostly clear skies. Drivers along I-70 and I-76 are advised to watch for patchy fog this morning near Limon and Akron, which could reduce visibility.

The sunny trend continues through Sunday, with highs nearing 59°F and calm winds persisting across the Denver metro area and surrounding counties. However, weather models indicate a sharp shift Sunday night as a cold front moves in, bringing chances of snow and rain. By Monday morning, snowfall could create slick roadways, particularly in higher elevations and mountain passes.

Residents planning commutes Monday should prepare for travel delays and icy roads, especially along I-70 and in northern regions. The NWS recommends monitoring updates and preparing vehicles for winter conditions.

Extended forecasts suggest high temperatures will plummet to 37°F on Monday, followed by subfreezing lows Monday night. Clear skies and mild conditions are expected to return by midweek.
