Denver, CO – Residents across the Denver metro and Front Range can expect clearer skies and warmer conditions today as sunshine returns by midday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Denver/Boulder.

Forecasters said Wednesday will begin with lingering clouds, but conditions will improve quickly. By the afternoon, skies will turn mostly sunny with temperatures rising into the mid-60s to mid-70s for much of the region.

According to the NWS, high temperatures are forecast to reach around 71 degrees in Denver, Fort Morgan, and Akron, with slightly cooler conditions in the foothills. Mountain towns such as Estes Park and Breckenridge are expected to top out in the 50s, while Colorado Springs should see highs near 67.

The improved weather comes after several cooler, unsettled days earlier in the week. Sunshine and warming temperatures are expected to bring more favorable conditions for outdoor activities across northern and central Colorado.

No major weather hazards are expected today, though forecasters advise travelers in the high country to still prepare for cooler mountain conditions compared to the plains.
