Denver, Colo. — A period of light winter weather is expected across portions of northern Colorado tonight into early Monday, according to the National Weather Service Denver/Boulder.
Bands of mainly light snow are forecast to develop across the northern mountains and plains this evening, gradually shifting southward through early Monday morning before ending. Most locations are expected to receive a dusting up to 2 inches of snow, though localized bands could briefly produce moderate to heavy snow, with isolated totals up to 3 inches.
The primary concern will be slick roads in spots, particularly tonight through the early Monday morning commute. Lingering slick conditions may persist into the early to mid-morning hours on Monday.
Travel impacts are expected to remain low to moderate, with the highest impacts occurring overnight before conditions gradually improve Monday morning.
Motorists are encouraged to remain alert for changing road conditions and monitor local forecasts for updates. Additional information is available at weather.gov/bou.
