Little Rock, AR – A dense fog advisory has been issued for Arkansas, eastern Texas, and northwestern Louisiana, with hazardous travel conditions expected through Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, visibility is forecast to drop to one-quarter mile or less in affected areas, creating challenges for drivers overnight and into Sunday. The advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. for much of Arkansas, including Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Fayetteville; east Texas cities such as Longview and Texarkana; and northwestern Louisiana communities, including Shreveport.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of space between vehicles. Visibility will be particularly poor near rivers, valleys, and other low-lying areas.

The advisory emphasizes the potential for rapidly changing visibility, increasing the risk of travel disruptions. Residents are encouraged to monitor local weather reports and allow extra time for morning commutes.

The dense fog conditions are expected to ease by late morning Sunday as temperatures rise and visibility improves.
