Melbourne, FL – The National Weather Service in Melbourne reports that a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect this morning for southern portions of east-central Florida, including Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee, Osceola, and southern Brevard counties.

Visibilities may drop below ¼ mile, especially along the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95, creating hazardous driving conditions through mid-morning. Motorists are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra travel time.

As the fog clears, a stalled front will bring increased rain chances across northern areas, particularly around Orlando, Leesburg, and Daytona Beach during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain mild to warm, ranging from the upper 70s to low 80s across central Florida.

Additionally, a moderate risk of rip currents continues along Atlantic beaches, and beachgoers are advised to follow local lifeguard safety guidance.
