Wilmington, DE – The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ, reports that light showers and gusty winds will move through the Wilmington area early Monday morning, followed by a return to dry, breezy weather later in the day.
As of early Monday, temperatures were around 52°F under overcast skies at Wilmington Airport. A 30% chance of light rain will continue overnight into the morning commute, with most areas seeing less than a tenth of an inch of rain.
By Monday afternoon, skies will begin to clear, but northwest winds may gust up to 40 mph, creating blustery conditions across New Castle County and nearby portions of southeastern Pennsylvania.
Conditions improve by Veterans Day, with increasing sunshine and highs near 48°F. The rest of the week looks mostly sunny and mild, with temperatures climbing into the mid-50s to near 60°F by Thursday and Friday.
Drivers and pedestrians should use caution during Monday’s gusty conditions, especially on bridges and elevated roadways.
