Mount Holly, N.J. – Humidity will climb across eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware Sunday, with highs reaching the low to mid-80s under mostly cloudy skies. Conditions will turn unsettled by Sunday night as scattered showers and possible thunder develop, especially northwest of I-95.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, showers could linger into early Monday morning across the region. Monday will remain warm with highs in the 80s, but humidity will ease as a cold front moves through during the day. Behind the front, much more comfortable air settles in, bringing a September-like stretch of weather for the rest of the week.
Philadelphia, Trenton, and Wilmington may see downpours Sunday night, while Allentown and Reading face the greatest risk for thunder. Commuters Monday morning should be prepared for wet roads and reduced visibility in scattered spots.
Residents are advised to limit travel during heavier rain, keep phones charged in case of power outages, and allow extra time for morning commutes.
Cooler air arrives Tuesday through Friday, with highs in the 70s and overnight lows dipping into the 50s. Additional advisories may be issued if showers redevelop midweek.
