Mount Holly, NJ – Morning rain is expected to taper off across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania today as a low-pressure system over the Delmarva Peninsula moves offshore. By this afternoon, skies should clear, bringing warmer and more humid conditions across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, high pressure will build in from the west later today, leading to clear skies and afternoon highs reaching the low to mid-80s in many inland areas. Coastal regions, including Cape May and Atlantic City, will see slightly cooler temperatures in the upper 70s.

While conditions will remain dry through the evening, forecasters caution that patchy fog could develop overnight, particularly in low-lying and rural areas. Drivers are advised to use caution during late-night and early-morning travel as visibility may be reduced.

Today’s weather pattern marks a warm end to September, with temperatures running above seasonal averages. The National Weather Service notes that humidity levels will remain elevated, making it feel warmer than the thermometer readings.

Clear skies and lingering warmth are expected to continue into midweek, though forecasters will monitor for any late-week changes.
