Philadelphia, PA – A Wind Advisory remains in effect for much of Delaware, New Jersey, and southeastern Pennsylvania through midnight tonight, as gusty west winds continue to sweep across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected through Friday evening, October 31. The advisory covers Philadelphia, Wilmington, Trenton, Camden, Atlantic City, Cape May, Reading, and Allentown, as well as the Jersey Shore and Delaware Beaches.

Forecasters warn that gusty winds may down tree limbs, potentially causing scattered power outages and making driving difficult for high-profile vehicles. Residents are urged to secure outdoor items such as Halloween decorations, patio furniture, and garbage bins before conditions peak this evening.

Wind speeds are expected to ease overnight, but lingering breezes will persist into early Saturday. Cooler, calmer conditions are forecast to settle in for the weekend following the passage of this system.
