Delaware State Police Seek Suspect in Wawa ATM Robbery

Bear, DE – A strong-arm robbery occurred Sunday evening at a Wawa on Pulaski Highway, leaving police searching for the suspect.

The Delaware State Police responded to the incident around 5:41 p.m. at the Wawa at 1605 Pulaski Highway. A man was withdrawing cash at the store’s ATM when an unknown male suspect attempted to snatch the money. The victim resisted, resulting in a physical altercation near the store’s entrance.

The suspect ultimately grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot toward Salem Church Road. The victim was unharmed.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing light-colored clothing. Police have yet to release surveillance footage or additional identifying details.
