Harbeson, DE – A 36-year-old Harbeson man was arrested Saturday afternoon following a police pursuit that began after troopers responded to a report of a man potentially under the influence at a business complex, according to the Delaware State Police.
The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. on October 18, 2025, in the 22,000 block of Dozer Lane. When troopers approached the suspect — identified as Ryan Doneker — who was seated in a Honda CR-V, he allegedly fled through a grass field, prompting a pursuit.
Troopers deployed stop sticks to deflate the vehicle’s tires on Gravel Hill Road, eventually bringing it to a stop near Doc Frame Road. Authorities say Doneker exited the vehicle with what appeared to be a handgun, which was later identified as a non-lethal replica.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered .11 grams of cocaine, an icepick, and about $4,700 in suspected drug proceeds. Doneker also showed signs of impairment, according to investigators.
He was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with multiple offenses, including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence of drugs. Doneker was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,401 secured bond.Delaware State Police: Harbeson Man Allegedly Fled Troopers, Found With Cocaine
