Delaware State Police Arrest Millsboro Man for Multiple Burglaries and Thefts

Millsboro, DE – Delaware State Police have arrested Wayne Warwick, 30, of Millsboro for a string of burglaries and thefts in the Oak Orchard area. Warwick allegedly targeted homes and vehicles between August 23rd and 24th.

On August 24, 2024, at 5:17 p.m., troopers responded to a reported burglary on the 28000 block of Cherokee Avenue. The suspect forced entry into a home but did not steal anything. While investigating, troopers learned the suspect also targeted vehicles on Cherokee and Wynikako Avenue, attempting to remove property.

Through investigative efforts, troopers identified Warwick as the suspect. Warrants were issued, and on August 29, 2024, Warwick was arrested. He was charged with multiple felonies, including burglary and theft. Justice of the Peace Court 2 arraigned him, releasing him on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Warwick faces charges including Burglary 3rd Degree and multiple counts of Attempted Theft under $1,500, with elderly victims involved. Despite the charges, he is currently free pending trial. Police continue to investigate any potential connections to other recent crimes in the area.
