Wilmington, DE – A Pennsylvania man was arrested in Wilmington after allegedly brandishing a firearm during a road rage encounter on Concord Pike Monday evening.

According to Delaware State Police, the incident began around 6 p.m. on September 15, 2025, when a 45-year-old Wilmington man reported being cut off by a Chevrolet Colorado near Concord Mall. Investigators say the truck, driven by 30-year-old Robert George of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, abruptly entered the victim’s lane before both vehicles continued toward the intersection at Rocky Run Boulevard.

Police said the victim pulled alongside George’s truck, and during a heated verbal exchange, George allegedly displayed a firearm. The victim contacted authorities after the encounter, and George turned into a nearby Widener University Delaware Law School parking lot.

Troopers later located George leaving a campus building and detained him without incident. A search of his vehicle revealed a handgun and a valid concealed carry permit. The victim positively identified George in a photo lineup, police said.

George was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and aggravated menacing, both felonies. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $25,000 secured bond.
