Claymont, DE – A 34-year-old man was shot late Friday outside a liquor store in Claymont before driving himself to a hospital in Pennsylvania for treatment, authorities said.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded around 11:30 p.m. to Ridge Liquors, located at 315 Ridge Road, after learning the man had arrived at a Pennsylvania hospital with gunshot wounds. Investigators said the victim, a Pennsylvania resident, was in the parking lot of the store when unidentified suspects opened fire.

The man’s injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, police said. He was able to drive himself to the hospital following the incident.
