Delaware: Search Warrant in Georgetown Leads to Multiple Arrests for Drug Offenses

Georgetown, DE – Three individuals are facing felony drug charges after a coordinated search warrant was executed in Georgetown this week, involving Delaware State Police and local task forces.

According to Delaware State Police, the Sussex County Drug Unit and Georgetown Police Department executed a search warrant on the 20000 block of Savannah Road on July 29, 2025, targeting alleged drug distribution by Gary Jefferson and Paul Sample. Eighteen people were detained, including Jefferson, 52, of Georgetown, Jamie Reed, 26, of Milford, and Sample, 54, of Georgetown.

Authorities allegedly recovered $723 in suspected drug proceeds, 0.19 grams of crack cocaine, and various prescription pills, along with drug paraphernalia and a digital scale.

Jefferson was arraigned on charges including maintaining a drug property and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on a $1,500 unsecured bond. Reed faces multiple felony counts, including possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and was held on $24,500 secured bond. Sample was charged with felony distribution and released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.

Five other individuals were also arrested on misdemeanor offenses; the rest were released without incident.
