Harrington, DE – Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place in May outside Harrington Raceway and Casino.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on May 11 when troopers responded to the casino’s parking lot at 42 Chambers Circle in Harrington following a report of a robbery. The victim told officers that two unknown Black male suspects confronted him while he was getting into his vehicle. The suspects allegedly assaulted the man, stole his belongings, and fled in an unknown black pickup truck. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Investigators later identified the suspects as 34-year-old Taron Brawner of Easton, Maryland, and 38-year-old Kyle Parker of Townsend, Delaware. Arrest warrants were secured for both men.
Parker was arrested on June 13 and charged with Robbery 2nd Degree (Felony), Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony), Terroristic Threatening, Offensive Touching, and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
Brawner was taken into custody on July 1 and faced the same list of charges. He was also arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $5,700 unsecured bond.
Police have not disclosed whether any of the stolen property was recovered.
