Newark, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that left a teenager injured Wednesday evening in Newark.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident happened on October 1, 2025, around 5:00 p.m. on Christiana Road, near Old Baltimore Pike. A 16-year-old male was riding his skateboard when he was approached by three unknown male suspects. Police said the suspects allegedly demanded the victim’s property before a physical fight broke out.
During the altercation, the suspects assaulted the teen with a metal object, took his belongings, and fled the area. The victim later went to AI Dupont Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Troopers responded to the hospital around 9:36 p.m. and began investigating. The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit is continuing the case.
