Wilmington, DE – Delaware State Police arrested two 20-year-old men early Monday morning after locating a stolen Dodge Charger that had been electronically tracked to a Wilmington neighborhood.

According to Delaware State Police, Meshech Morris of Wilmington and Marquist Charpentier of Lanham, Maryland, were taken into custody on felony charges related to the theft.

The incident unfolded around 5 a.m. on October 20, 2025, when troopers were alerted by the Maple Shade Police Department in New Jersey that a Dodge Charger stolen from their jurisdiction was pinging near Bonwood Road in Wilmington. Authorities say the two suspects allegedly drove the stolen vehicle to a local dealership in an Infiniti Q50 before fleeing in both cars.

When troopers arrived at the 1600 block of Bonwood Road, they located the Infiniti, which was concealed beneath a car cover. Morris and Charpentier were inside the vehicle and taken into custody without incident.

A search of the Infiniti uncovered a device used to program universal car key fobs, along with a reprogrammed key fob that unlocked the stolen Dodge when tested. Police confirmed the Dodge Charger was the same vehicle reported stolen in New Jersey.

Both suspects face felony charges related to motor vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools.
