According to Delaware State Police, the crash happened around 7:10 a.m. on Beach Highway, west of Webb Farm Road. Investigators said a 39-year-old man was riding a gray Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle westbound at a high rate of speed when he attempted to pass two vehicles. The rider allegedly lost control as he re-entered the westbound lane, causing the motorcycle to skid off the roadway and strike a utility pole. The rider was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
