Delaware Man Arrested in Armed Robbery at New Castle Gas Station on Labor Day

New Castle, DE – Delaware State Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery that took place on Labor Day at a Gulf gas station in New Castle.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded to the station on West Basin Road around 12:22 p.m. on September 1 after receiving a report of a robbery. Investigators allege that the suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the register. Police said the employee complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Through investigative leads, detectives identified the suspect as Hasan Gordon and secured a warrant for his arrest. Authorities said Gordon was located by Wilmington Police on Sunday and taken into custody without incident.

Gordon has been charged with robbery in the first degree and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, both felonies. Police confirmed he was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $120,000 secured bond.

The case remains under investigation, and authorities have not released further details about whether additional suspects may have been involved.
