According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded around 5:57 p.m. Thursday to Eagle Crest Road near Coastal Highway after receiving reports of a road rage dispute involving a gun. Investigators said the victim told authorities that the driver of a white Honda Pilot yelled and allegedly pointed a firearm during the incident.
Troopers later identified the driver as 38-year-old Joshua Vickers of Dagsboro. Police said they located Vickers and the vehicle a short time later at Hudson Fields on Eagle Crest Road, where he was detained without incident. A search of the Honda revealed a 9mm handgun in the glove compartment along with a 12-gauge shotgun and two .22 caliber rifles, authorities reported.
Vickers was taken to Delaware State Police Troop 7 and charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, aggravated menacing and overtaking or passing on the right. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $30,100 unsecured bond.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
