
Springfield, IL – Legendary rock band Def Leppard will headline the Illinois State Fair on Saturday, August 16, delivering an evening of iconic hits and electrifying performance. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees promise a set list packed with fan favorites, including classics like “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” and “Rock of Ages.”
Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II expressed excitement about the booking, noting the band’s timeless appeal. “Def Leppard’s music connects across generations,” Costello said, sharing his own nostalgic connection to their hit “Photograph.”
The band, known for platinum albums like Pyromania and Hysteria, has sold over 110 million records. Their streaming presence has soared since 2018, amassing 5.5 billion streams and broadening their fanbase. The band’s most recent work includes their 2023 release, Drastic Symphonies, a collaboration with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tickets for the August 16 show will go on sale Saturday, November 16 at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Special holiday pricing is available through December 31, with tiered ticket options starting at $85. Ticket prices increase by $10 for select tiers after December 31.
