Candia, N.H. – A Deerfield man was seriously hurt after an early morning rollover crash on Route 101.
According to New Hampshire State Police, the crash occurred at 12:56 a.m. today on the Exit 3 onramp along Route 101 westbound in Candia. Troopers arriving at the scene found a vehicle down an embankment. The driver, Matthew C. Cresswell, 41, had been thrown from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries.
Police report that Cresswell’s 2006 Honda Element lost control, left the road, and overturned multiple times before striking a tree. Emergency personnel transported Cresswell to an area hospital.
The onramp was partially closed for about three hours as officials investigated and cleared the scene. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Jacob Benjamin at Jacob.A.Benjamin@DOS.NH.GOV.
